LYRA MUSIC PRESENTS SECOND HUDSON VALLEY FESTIVAL

Hudson Valley, NY – The Lyra Music Festival returns to the Hudson Valley for a second year with concerts and masterclass workshops from Sunday, June 25 to Saturday, July 8, 2023. The Lyra Music Festival moved to the Hudson Valley in 2022 and returns this summer to present an outstanding series of classical music performances, bringing together world-class musicians, advanced young string players and pianists, and an exceptional faculty of professional musicians and artist educators for concerts, masterclasses, and young artist performances.

Concerts are open to the public and will take place at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, located at 477 Main Street, Beacon, New York. Masterclass will be held at the Storm King School, located on 314 Mountain Road in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York. Tickets are available for purchase for Guest Artist and Young Artist Final Concert events, $20. Lyra Music Faculty Artist Concert and Guest Artist Masterclass will be free!

Lyra Music Festival takes classical music out of the concert hall and into the community, presenting a series of free outreach concerts throughout the Hudson Valley. Look for our events in Beacon, Briarcliff Manor, Cornwall-on-Hudson, Marlboro, New Paltz, New Windsor, and Ossining.

Lyra Music Young Artist Final Concert. The culminating performance celebrating Lyra Music’s exceptional Young Artists! Chamber Music Concert at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, NY. $20.

The Lyra Music Festival presents world-class musicians in concert and in master classes with Lyra Music young artists. Lyra students are pre-professional classical musicians ages 12-19, and are immersed in a supportive, nurturing community where they live, work, and play with their peers and the dedicated Lyra faculty, staff, and artists-in-residence. Lyra Music provides an opportunity for its young musicians to experience the life of a professional musician on tour, through an intensive chamber and solo performance schedule in a variety of settings. 

Lyra Music’s mission is to enhance the lives of young musicians and enrich communities through classical music. A multi-faceted non-profit organization, Lyra Music produces a summer pre-professional performance training program, summer music festival, and youth music competition for string players and pianists.

About the Lyra Music Festival: The Lyra Music Festival is an outstanding series of summer classical music events based in Northampton, MA. Each July Lyra brings together world class musicians, talented young string players and pianists with an exceptional faculty of professional musicians and educators for concerts, masterclasses and outreach performances.
